My BFF’s Mom invited me and my kids the other day for the birthday party of her grand daughter. I accepted the invitation since I thought there’s only one event we will be attending to and that is Jm’s training later in the afternoon. I even agreed to help the party on the said date the other night when we chatted on FB. I just told her if we could leave the party early since Jm has to attend her swimming session with her new coach but things was change when the classmate of Jm went here to inform us about the award that Jm would receive from school on Recognition day. Their teacher could not reach my number when she tried to call me; she supposed to be the one who would tell me what award my daughter will be getting. To worsen the situation the recognition will fall the same time as the party would start. I was in a dilemma, Jm was so excited to get her award and I could not say no to her.
My husband and I talked about it last night and he advised me to attend the recognition instead and since the competition is fast approaching, we need to cancel the party so our daughter can still go to her training right after the receiving of award. Sigh!
There are times; I wished to have two bodies so we can do things the same time without sacrificing the latter. Yet we only given one body to decide and weigh things for the good of the one involved. Most often than not, I know my greetings here will not be enough in exchange with what I promise but please let me still say… Happy Birthday Leighanne and wishing you for many birthdays to come, I will just send you my gift when I have time next week. And please forgive me for not attending your party, it disappoints me big time.
