Pochero Recipe

Last Fiesta in our village, everyone is so busy already preparing what food they will be cooking for the celebration. My sister and her family prepared more foods on their table. As I was only planning to have a simple dinner with my kids, I just bought a cake, and we cooked 2 kinds of viands, the other one was given to us by my sister.

When I was about to grocery shop, I just thought of Pochero, I don’t know how to cook it but it seems to like it if I would see on my table. I thought though that my sister knows how to cook but after we arrived home from grocery. I learned that she doesn’t know how to cook it. So what we did is just we follow the recipe online. So here’s what we did.

We heat the pan with cooking.

Sauté the  garlic, onions, tomatoes and pepper.

After we sauté the spices, we added the pork and when it was softened or turns golden.

We put the fish sauce, whole pepper corn, and tomato sauce. We have waited for few minutes to make sure that the pork is cooked.

We added the potato and string beans. We supposed to put pechay but we forgot to buy some. I thought it won’t taste good at all. I mean it is my first time to cook for this but the experiment is worth, it taste good. It is a little bit spicy but flavorful.
